script handy:

cp build/texk/web2c/mpware/dmp /usr/TeX/bin/i386-linux/dmp
cp build/texk/web2c/mpware/mpto /usr/TeX/bin/i386-linux/mpto
cp build/texk/web2c/mpware/newer /usr/TeX/bin/i386-linux/newer
cp build/texk/web2c/mpware/makempx /usr/TeX/bin/i386-linux/makempx
texhash
fmtutil --byfmt mpost

Replace "i386" as appropriate.
