Hello Paul,

The patch is a change file that you can download from the CVS:

http://cvs.sarovar.org/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/mp/extensions/?cvsroot=metapost

The patch implements a part of the functionality that is needed
to make metapost use 64-bit calculations. Unless you want to do
some work on it yourself, the current code will probably not have
any value to you.
