[metapost] Recent bug report

Daniel H. Luecking reports that Giuseppe Bilotta's test file
"grids.mp" posted earlier today fails on MetaPost 1.002, 1.005, 1.080,
and 1.091.

Here is what I see on older versions:

	% mpost grids
	This is MetaPost, Version 0.641 (Web2C 7.5.3)
	(grids.mp
	>> filenametemplate
	! Isolated expression.
	<to be read again>

	% mpost grids
	This is MetaPost, Version 0.993 (Web2C 7.5.6)
	(grids.mp
	! Extra elseif.

The first of these is from the TeX Live 2004 collection, compiled
24-Sep-2004, and the second is from the TeX Live 2007 collection,
built on 2-Feb-2007.  The TeX Live 2008 collection (installed here
just six days ago) has version 1.005; its mpost was built on
9-Aug-2008.
