Hi folks. I'm getting the universal "Fatal mem file error: I'm stymied"
error message. Here's my setup:

Invocation:
  mpost foo.mp

Foo.mp's contents: <empty> (also tried with a non-empty .mp file--same
result)

OS: RedHat 4 (kernel 2.6.9-42.0.3)

>From other postings, it sounds like the tetex library versions might be an
issue. Here's what rpm reports, grepped for tetex:
  tetex-fonts-2.0.2-22.EL4.7
  tetex-2.0.2-22.EL4.7
  tetex-xdvi-2.0.2-22.EL4.7
  tetex-doc-2.0.2-22.EL4.7
  tetex-latex-2.0.2-22.EL4.7
  tetex-afm-2.0.2-22.EL4.7
  tetex-dvips-2.0.2-22.EL4.7

My version of mpost is:
  MetaPost (Web2C 7.4.5) 0.641
  kpathsea version 3.4.5

Are there other aspects of system configuration I should check? This is a
fairly vague error message (!).

Thanks for your input,
--Steve
