The best source of old TeX-related programs is previous TL
releases. I haven't unpacked my CDs yet after my move,
but I'm sure someone still has one from the early naughties.

The last version by JDH was 0.641, the first version done by
the new team was 0.9. Those 0.9x releases still exist at
