They are not intended to be the same.
If they were the same in that release, then that was simply a bug.

    If anyone knows about a working mfw under MacOS X please let me know.

Gerben will need to answer that.  Before you said Linux would be ok
too.  Does it work for you on Linux?  Can you try TL2003, instead of the
older version?
