[tex-k] [tex-live] xdvi problems with empty glyph

This is a known problem of whitespace characters in FreeType which
I've already fixed in the FreeType CVS.  We are going to release 2.2.2
soon (well, `soon', you know, this is a rubber-like term :-).

Is xdvik using FreeType 2 at all?
