This change (2005 --> 2007) was made by Karl after
the release of TeXLive 2007. My sources are ones in the present svn.

Simply because I'm using config.ps in which "Z" is written.

I said I'm using "ASCII patched" headers. But this is irrelevant to
the present problem.
BTW, I've confirmed that there are no differences
between my sources and TeXLive sources.
Changes made after the release of TeXLive 2007 are not
related to the main output.
Therefore I think the bug must be specific to the Debian dvipsk.
