[tex-k] about typedef boolean

Is there a reason why the boolean type is defined in kpathsea's
    types.h instead of in cpascal.h ?

Yes, it is/was needed in all kpathsea-using programs (dvipsk, xdvik,
dviljk, ...), not just web2c, so kpathsea was the logical place for it.
The drivers don't use web2c.

I'm asking because it is a bit of a nuisance that some of the core
web2c stuff lives in the file search library.

Are you planning to stop using kpse entirely in mp and/or luatex? (Or
maybe you have already?)

It's obviously no particular problem to define boolean in web2c too,
matter of a couple of ifdef's. I don't have a problem with doing that,
if it will help you.
