[tex-k] Is 'lua' a recognized format?

Hi Karl, hi all,

Looking at the kpathsea manual, version from TL'08, I can't find any occurrence
of Lua in the list of recognized formats. However, looking at texmf.cnf, I see
an LUAINPUTS variable.

Trying 'kpsewhich --show-path=lua' on the command line gives the expected result
(that is, the path expanded from LUAINPUTS) but trying

kpse.find_file('foo.lua', 'lua')

with luatex 0.36 (on top of TL'08) fails: "bad argument #2 to 'find_file'
(invalid option 'lua')".

Can someone please enlighten me? And if lua is not yet a recognized extension
for kpsewhich, is it planned?
