[tex-k] "cmman" font fails in dvips

        dvips: Such scaling will generate extremely poor output.

Seems reasonable to me, supposing you have cmman.600pk lying around (I
don't, so I get cmr10 being substituted). I don't know what you're
expecting.

If you think it should be calling mktexpk, it seems that is disabled by
default. If I run  env MKTEXPK=1 dvips ... the pk gets made. -k
