    Our main maintainer is just working on packaging a 2024 snapshot.

Although I imagine you all are well aware of this, just to be sure: it
would not be wise to take the current TL development sources, since they
include all kinds of updates intended for 2025 that shouldn't be
retrofitted to 2024. E.g., a new icu and other libraries, new version
numbers, etc.

Instead, please use the 2024 sources and apply that one small change.

I apologize for not having a branch with the perfect sources for you to
take, but I just don't have time to create everything. -k
