And presently MacOSX platform is recognized (by a non standard config.guess,
yes...)

So you have to convince Sebastian that installing the "net" config.guess,
modifying install-cd.sh and install-pkg.sh, and then testing *all* texlive
platforms recognition is "unequivocally necessary" :-)

Anyway it should be done for next texlive release...
