This might be answered elsewhere but I haven't found it.

On our UNIX system we have xdvik version 22.40k

But we're having some problems concerning the colors. If the xterm
wherefrom xdvi was started has a blue background, the so will the xdvi.

How and where do I do a system wiede configuration, so say, the xdvi gets
 white backround(s) and black text.

I can control some of them with the commandline options, but how do I
change it system wide all at once?
