[tex-live] compressed CD

I have made a CD using zip files instead of .tar.bz2,
and it uses hardly any more space (still around the 500 mbyte mark).
so unless someone has a good technical or legal reason not
to use zip, lets stick with that.

Fabrice, can you make your setup work with that?

does anyone want a test CD to try under Unix/Linux?

one of the benefits of all this, of course, is that
it makes it a lot easier to put replacements for
particular packages (as fpTeX already does)
