Did you install the demo CD ? Or ran tex from the demo cd ? Actually,
the demo CD is not runnable under windows because the .map files are
symbolic links to their counterparts. Imho, updmap should copy the
files, not make symbolic links, to be truly portable. Actually,
updmap.exe makes copies of the files, but the ones on the repository
have been generated using Unix.
