[tex-live] Political showstopper

Professionally speaking, I'd like to hear about legal
cases where the GPL or some other F/OSS license has been
upheld. Does anyone know of a good test case,
preferably in a UK or European court?

There has never been a court case that has gone all the way to decision
involving the GPL or any other F/OSS license, anywhere in the world, as
far as I know. I may be wrong, of course, but I think I would have
heard. Eben Moglen, FSF counsel, mentioned once in an essay that
perhaps he would intentionally go to trial at some point, just to prove
that the GPL is enforceable once and for all, but this has not happened.

And I sincerely hope we do not have to go to court here, either.
(And I doubt we will.)
I do not want to spend my life that way, and furthermore, Springer
certainly has much deeper pockets than we do.
