[tex-live] Binaries/source.development

I have made test compilations (gcc 3.3.2) in source.development
on two platforms: Solaris (2.9) and Linux (RedHat 9).

RedHat 9
--------
Compiled cleanly, producing 248 programs.

Comparing with Martin's message:

  > ldd Master/bin/i386-linux/pdftex
  Master/bin/i386-linux/pdftex: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.2.4' not found (required by Master/bin/i386-linux/pdftex)

I'm getting here:
  ldd /Build/source.development/bin/i686-pc-linux-gnu/pdftex
	libm.so.6 => /lib/tls/libm.so.6 (0x40033000)
	libc.so.6 => /lib/tls/libc.so.6 (0x42000000)
	/lib/ld-linux.so.2 => /lib/ld-linux.so.2 (0x40000000)

Solaris 2.9
-----------
failed with error message:

  configuring in dtl
  running /bin/sh ../../../../TeX/texk/dtl/configure  --prefix=/users/kaja/texlive/Build/source.development --datadir=/users/kaja/texlive/Build/source.development --enable-multiplatform --cache-file=.././config.cache --srcdir=../../../../TeX/texk/dtl
  loading cache .././config.cache

  configure: error: ../../../../TeX/texk/dtl/configure failed for dtl
  configure: error: ../../../TeX/texk/configure failed for texk
  configure: error: ../../TeX/configure failed for TeX

to move on, I tried different recompilations (--without-dtl etc)
and finally found that my problem had something to do with the
texk/devnag/configure file. at least manual removal of devnag from
texk/configure (there is no global --without-devnag option) made
it all fly (247 programs, one less than linux because of devnag).
does anyone have a hint what could be wrong?

I did not attemp the compilation for irix: we are in the process
of phasing out our SGI machines...

The OS versions I used are newer than what we use for TL, so I'm not
sure you want the files checked in.
