Manfred -- regarding this problem in texi2html, it appears to me that
translations.pl was out of date with respect to some of its dependents.
What I don't understand is why it was getting rebuilt at all, as I don't
see that anything depends on it.

The actual error also seems strange.  manage_i18n.pl is there in the
texi2html directory (you have it, right?  And it's executable?), and I
see from the rest of the make output that you have /usr/bin/perl.

Anyway, I touched translations.pl and checked that in.  Hope it doesn't
mysteriously break anything else, but it probably will, the way things
are going.
