in generic scripts it's painful to take care of platform specific quoting, so i 
wonder, is it a problem to handle

kpsewhich --format=opentypefonts LMSansQuotation8-Regular.otf

as well, i.e. internally strip the spaces from the format and accept spaceless 
ones from the command line?
