Hi Karl,

I have now built successfully the x86_64 binaries and placed them here:

   http://www.bibles.org.uk/x86_64

The number of files produced was 256 which is roughly the same as in i386
case (254) so I think everything went OK. But I haven't tested these
binaries (other than to make sure tex runs:

$ ./tex
This is TeX, Version 3.141592 (Web2C 7.5.5)

At some point I will switch my environment to it but I haven't got time to
do it now. But I won't delay it so long as to cause a critical bug to be
found only at the last minute before release, like I did last time :)

Sorry about this delay. Normally I would respond and do things quicker,
it's just I was very busy recently...

Here is the uname -a and gcc -v output that you wanted:

# uname -a
Linux elpis 2.6.8.1 #18 SMP Fri Mar 25 19:46:16 GMT 2005 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
# gcc -v
Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.3.3/specs
Configured with: ../configure --prefix=/usr --mandir=/usr/share/man
--infodir=/usr/share/info --enable-shared --enable-threads=posix
--disable-checking --disable-libunwind-exceptions --with-system-zlib
--enable-__cxa_atexit --host=x86_64-redhat-linux
Thread model: posix
gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Red Hat Linux 3.3.3-7)

Kind regards
Tigran
