    this is error-prone.

My suggestion is, run ls on the old dir, ls on the new dir, and use comm
to find the files that needs to be deleted.  Then do the add all, edit
all, revert -a, bizarreness which is de rigeur with perforce.  That's
what I do, anyway.  If anyone wants my script for it, let me know.

(I am really looking forward to leaving perforce behind.)

And yes, someone should make alpha-linux/odvips be a symlink.
