[tex-live] Question: windows?

Hmmm, I don't see any .log. Would you please sending me that directly.

The message was changed as too drastic.

This log file contains mostly messages from updmap and fmtutil runs.
Of course, some formats cannot be built as they weren't installed.
After installation, the user can run tlpmgui again and do some 
maintenance, like editing fmtutil.cnf or updmap.cfg

Is this really needed? tlpmgui is invoked from the CD...

The system was not yet configured, so add/remove will work for any 
subsequent tlpmgui run.

Sorry, an old windvi seems to not work with that installation, so please
use dvi->ps or pdf way.

Please try more new and robust one:
http://tug.org/texlive/devsrc/Master/tlpmgui.exe
and run it from the hard disk. After starting, it is enough to select
the CD drive.
