many thanks for your notes. I've just forwarded them to Pawel and Tomasz.

As tlpmgui is still under development, we have new versions every 
day. Please try the latest one (0.40, half an hour old:-)
http://tug.org/texlive/devsrc/Master/tlpmgui.exe
and run it from the hard disc, then select cd drive.

?? After simple installation (e.g. basic) you can check some files in TEMP 
and see that tlpm just uses batch prepared by tlpmgui.
