Just put the ConTeXt distribution to your local tree. All TeX
distributions search the local tree first. If not, modify your
texmf.cnf. You need to run mktexlsr only in one distribution (if you
wish to share the local tree among several distributions). Thus you
will have what you need with minimal effort.
