Others have responded to the font issue, but it is important to note
that "sudo texconfig-sys ..." should be used for system-wide
configuration. Just "texconfig ..." will create files in
~/.texlive2005 so should be run without the "sudo". You may now have
some files under your home directory that are owned by "root", which
may cause problems for other tools such as automatic format
generation, backups, etc.
