Just to reiterate, as things stand, I don't see the relation between
current tpm names and directory names ;-).  Really, we are not
understanding each other here, and should somewhen take the time and
sort it out.

In my view, each tpm in the current psnfss set has the name of an
existent directory, but contains files from lots of other directories,
but often not the complete set of files from these external directories,
only some.  And the obsolete stuff doesn't exist on CTAN currently,
anyway.  So we could remove it or put it where we like.  Maybe
s/obsolete/historical/.=20

Actually, I'm glad about that.  I wanted to reduce my involvement in TeX
stuff until the end of the year.  I just thought now was the right time
to speak up, but I didn't like the idea to discuss it now.
