I use Slackware 32bit on my AMD64, during weekend I will test SUSE 10 64bit 
with tlpmgui.

In my opinion you should use tclkit for 64bit and compile tile for works in 
mode 64bit.
Or try Tcl/Tk 8.5 alpha 6

I haven't free time today and tomorrow but soon I prepare for you short 
description about building and testing tlpmgui.
