[tex-live] Bad .cfg files in TeX source tree?

Hi all,

before the trees get finalized, would it be possible to make sure that
_no_ .cfg files get installed into the tex/latex source tree from
arbitrary packages?

For example, with TeXlive 2005 I get in a normal documentation compilation:

This is pdfeTeXk, Version 3.141592-1.30.4-2.2 (Web2C 7.5.5) (format=pdflatex 2006.12.5) 18 JAN 2007 10:14
entering extended mode
 %&-line parsing enabled.

(/usr/local/texlive/2005/texmf-dist/tex/latex/base/size10.clo
File: size10.clo 2004/02/16 v1.4f Standard LaTeX file (size option)

In short, I get a completely random ltxdoc.cfg. This ltxdoc.cfg might
at best have a place in texmf/source/* outside of $TEXINPUTS normal
reign (and even there it is a stupid idea since the current system's
idea of papersize and doc format will cease getting picked up), but it
most emphatically does _not_ belong in texmf-dist/tex/latex/* where
everybody will pick it up.

So I'd really want to ask that no *.cfg files get installed into the
searchable tree that don't actually belong to the package in question.
Those should _only_ be kept in the source tree where they'll be
visible for the package in question.
