Hi,

I'm using a computer running windows XP Professional and recently I had a
problem with windows which obliged me to do a repair with the installation DVd
of Windows.

After that a few programs did'nt run well and among those was TeXLive2005.
So I decided to uninstall it and reinstall it.
I inserted the dvd and ran tlpmgui.
After selecting the configuration I wanted and the directory where I wanted it
to be installed (D:\TeXLive2005 I started the process but noticed after a while
that it seemed to be copying nothing and I got the following error message:

error copying "D:/TeXLive2005/texmf/web2c/fmtutil.cnf": no such file or directory
error copying "D:/TeXLive2005/texmf/web2c/fmtutil.cnf": no such file or directory
    while executing
"source $filewininstall"
    invoked from within
"if [file exist [file join [file dirname $sourcedir] tlpm.exe]] then {
	source $filewininstall
    } else {
	tk_messageBox -title [mc "Error"] -icon er..."
    invoked from within
".f.nb.frm1.f24.b2 invoke "
    invoked from within
".f.nb.frm1.f24.b2 instate {pressed !disabled} { .f.nb.frm1.f24.b2 state
!pressed; .f.nb.frm1.f24.b2 invoke } "
    (command bound to event)

I know this is a windows problem and it is obviously related to something
missing or wrong in my windows.

I would like to know if anyone has any idea of what is going on and what I can
do to fix it (I'd like to avoid having to do aclean reinstall but i will do it
if it's the only way!!).

Thank you very much in advance.
