Yeah, I saw -- some portability issues on Solaris, besides the 
configure stuff.

It's not high priority for our current project, but when we have to 
deliver a custom-configured TeX system (as part of an overall 
document management system) to our customer in midst of May, we'll 
need configurability of dvipdfmx, too. And I hate local changesets 
to free software; I'd like to get them in mainstream. (Btw, my 
recent dviljk work was triggered by that project, too.)

I'll try to squeeze the budget in, to make and send the changes in 
an appropriate form to upstream.
