[tex-live] No room for a new \write

After some offlist emails it is now clear that we can and will add
the functionality to have more than 16 files to the etex changes,
but as this is the tex-live list, you would have to wait for another
year before that functionality is available to you.

So it is unlikey there will be a quick solution, sorry.
