OK, that is the scenario that would have occurred yesterday :

1) In Explorer, navigate to last year's TeX Live --

	D:\TeX\Live\2007

2) Highlight text in TeXMF box

3) Paste in copied location --

	D:\TeX\Live\2007

4) Highlit text did not disappear

5) Erase "7" and replace with "8"

6) Manually delete highlit text.
