I don't want to start again a troll, but just for the record, Unix users
too. They just don't always agree about which kind of simplicity matters
most :-)

I agree on this point, but as I already said, I thinks it is relevant
only for the networks installer. The iso way won't be a
"point-and-click" way to install anyway, since you'll always need to
mount or burn the image after uncompressing it.

So, I'll stop here this discussion about self-extraction as far as the
ISO image is concerned, since it's a minor point IMO and we already
spend enough time discussing it without immediate solution.

OTOH, if you have serious hints about how to make a point-and-click
network install (just skipping the step "unzipping install-tl.zip and
findind install-tl.bat inside" and going straight to "running
install-tl.bat", I'd be interested to hear about it. (I agree with you
that there are little (from a power user's point of view) points that
can greatly change the ease of use for an average user and that we
should try to improve there.)
