It may work and may not work: AFAIK some trackers (don't think that
thepiratebay is among them) produce non-portable .torrent files which
work only on the computer they were cooked for (probably MAC address
is embedded).

One can  also provide the link to the torrent file directly.

their money from commercials and we are going to use them without

Anyway, the tracker seems to be down: probably their schooner a Royal
Navy frigate :-)
