No, it was more a methodological/philosophical
issue than one related to resources.  I just
thought that there must be a TL-Announce list !

OK, I'll give that a whirl and see what (if anything)
it tells me, but this does re-raise the first issue :
unless I know that something in the TL repository has
changed, I can't know whether Rsync is giving me the
right answers !
