Which make sense, in a way, since texdoc searchs based on the file name, and
this is the only file named nfss.something. You can see more results with the -s
switch:

mpg at roth:~% texdoc -s nfss

/home/mpg/tl/trunk/Master/texmf-dist/doc/generic/tex-virtual-academy-pl/fonty/nfss.html
 2 /home/mpg/tl/trunk/Master/texmf-dist/doc/latex/psnfss/psfonts.pdf

kpsewhich searches TeX input files in tex/, not source/. If you want to read
fntguide.pdf, try 'texdoc fntguide'. If you want to read the source, I think
using find/locate or browsing the tree is the best way.

Technically, nothing is wrong, everything worked nominally. However, it would
certainly be desirable that 'texdoc nfss' gives something more relevant, which
can be done with an alias.

Currently, a keyword can be associated with only one alias (this may change in
the not-so-distant future), so we have to choose what 'texdoc nfss' should
return. I think the most relevant candidates are fntguide.pdf and psnfss2e.pdf.

Manuel.
