Sure no big deal here. But I was keeping local ctan mirror a couple
of years ago, on NTFS. That was quite enlightening:-) File with > in 
its name, filenames with a dot at the end (which vanished on NTFS) and
a bunch of filenames differing only by case (impossible on NTFS).

Current texlive seems to be clean from these issues. But I remember 
the times when there was a 8.3 rule in TDS. Is it finally dropped?
