[tex-live] ligatures cannot be copied and pasted (pdftex, TL2008)

Hi, Karl:

In TL 2008, the map file for pdftex miss the encoding entry for CM fonts:
cmr10 CMR10 <cmr10.pfb
And this will lead to a serious problem: One cannot copy and paste
words like ff, ffi, fi from the generated pdf file (I use the latest
version of acrobat reader).
After slightly modifing the lines (adding the related encoding file),
the problems seems to be solved.

Is this bug or feature?
