If you just downloaded
install-tl.bat and tried to run it, it cannot work. You have to download
install-tl.zip, unzip it, and run install-tl from the unziped directory.

If you go to this site

it shows file name install-tl.bat, so I double clicked it and it showed the error messages
as follows:

This error message shows that it checked the paths of my PC already.
 
Can anyone show me how to do it from the beginning? 
 
Just download install-tl.zip, unzip it, and run install-tl from the unziped directory. Then it automatically download TexLive2008 to my PC with correct path setup?
