As already said several time, start a cmd shell and type in the bat filename
as is.

We did.

Ohhhh, first time that you mentioned that you installed
FROM DVD TO USBSTICK
good point.

I know very well what tl-portable is, but I though you were talking about
*installing* the dvd.
tl-portable is NOT for installing FROM DVD TO usbstick,
tl-portable is for carrying around the DVD and run it with *minimal*
impact on the system you are using.

No,tl-portable is the bat script that is used to use the *DVD*, and nothing
else!!!

On your USB Stick, and then using tl-portable, not surprising.

Same as above.

That sounds like the correct way. Copying all of the DVD contents to the
USB stick (but NOT into a subdirectory, but into the root), and then use
tl-portable from there.
If that does not work, please:
- start a cmd window
- cd to the usbstick's drive
- call tl-portable.bat
- send the output

The installer is NOT for that business, it is for making an installation on
your local hard drive. That can even be your usb stick, but NOT for portable
use.

Thanks, I am Austrian, and I am not interested in your very absurd
comparisons.

If you use them in the right way, the do, and they did on many many computers.
Best wishes

MILWAUKEE (n.)
The melodious whistling, chanting and humming tone of the milwaukee
can be heard whenever a public lavatory is entered. It is the way the
occupants of the cubicles have of telling you there's no lock on their
door and you can't come in.
