[tex-live] problem with fonts -- how do i debug this?

Hi,

please learn what is the difference between updmap and -sys!!!

- do you need your local copies??? Why?
- remove all of ~/.texlive*, or is there something you need?
- call updmap-sys --enable ... 
- do NOT call udmap
- then it should work
