[tex-live] latex package import.sty (ltxmisc) unwanted leading space after import

Hello,
I just encountered problem with import.sty package: Imagine the file
include.tex consisting of:
thing is bad.

And the file main.tex consisting of
\documentclass{article}
\usepackage{import}
\begin{document}
Some\import{.}{include.tex}
\end{document}

You will get an outputing dvi with the text:
Some thing is bad.
instead of (as with input)
Something is bad.

Hope that it is not just bug between the chair and the keyboard.
