[tex-live] babel can't find hyphenation pattern with xetex

Hello everyone,

I'm using the latest TexLive distribution, and compiling my documents
with xelatex (for unicode support). The problem is with
the hyphenation pattern. On a regular tex file, latex output shows:

Babel <v3.8l> and hyphenation patterns for english, usenglishmax,
dumylang, nohyphenation, ancientgreek, ibycus, monogreek, greek, latin,
romanian, ukenglish, loaded.

I'm interested in the romanian hyphenation support.

However, xelatex shows:

Babel <v3.8l> and hyphenation patterns for english, usenglishmax,
dumylang, nohyphenation, german-x-2008-06-18, ngerman-x-2008-06-18,
basque, catalan, czech, dutch, french, galician, german, ngerman,
italian, polish, portuguese, slovak, spanish, ukenglish, loaded.

Why are they different? Is there a separate configuration file for xetex
hyphenation? I've been searching all day for an answer to this so I'd
really appreciate some help at this point.

Thank you,
Bogdan
