you suggest that david should do that?

fwiw, _i'm_ now worried that we distribute the stuff by http and rsync,
when the only apparent permission is to distribute by ftp (which of
course we also offer).

frankly, i would say we would be safest just to delete the whole package
from ctan, but we're told the author has been contacted, so perhaps
there's still hope.

anyway, i _hate_ "bsd" licences because they require me to read the
whole thing to determine whether the package is valid for classification
as other-free.
