fwiw, my immediate feeling, looking again at the directory, was "this is
a complete mess".  why he bothered to create a pseudo-tds structure and
then stick a .zip in it, is beyond me.

we might be a bit more robust now, but there are limits.  (after all,
we've suffered a very bitter attack from one author, who now refuses to
upload, because we wanted to impose a layout.)

i don't see why it wouldn't be ok.  just because the uploader was
dotty...
