[tex-live] Unrecognized option '-c-style-errors'

In TL2009, when I add the option '-quiet' (or '-silent') to 'latexmk', i.e.:

$ latexmk -quiet [-pdf] small2e.tex

in the output I see this (warning?):

[...]
[pdf]latex: unrecognized option `-c-style-errors'
[...]

Is it to be expected?
