I do understand these problems, but as I said in another post: I think biber/biblatex is one of the really important additions that has happened to LaTeX for quite some time. BibTeX's limitations have been known for years, and now that we finally have a working solution which finally takes the whole concept into the modern age, not including it into TL would be areal shame.
