[tex-live] GUIs crash on latex-error

The bug is in jfm.cls ... it defines \checkfont with
	\batchmode
in it.

The problem is that GUIs use
	latex -interaction=nonstopmode
but jfm.cls \checkfont does reset that to \batchmode without saving
and restoring the original mode.

Remove the calls to \checkfont in your documents and it will work.

And complain to the writers of jfm.cls, it is their fault.
