[tex-live] tlmgr --repository http://tlcontrib.metatex.org/2010 does not work on the command line

Hello!

On http://tlcontrib.metatex.org/usage.html it is described how to get  
contributed packages, for example an update of the microtype package.  
All invocations of

	tlmgr revision 20975 (2011-01-08 01:51:33 +0100)
	tlmgr using installation: /usr/local/texlive/2010
	TeX Live (http://tug.org/texlive) version 2010

lead to failures obviously reported as:

	D:tlmgr:main: ::tldownload_server not defined

and so no update is possible. With the GUI I get a listing from the  
repository http://tlcontrib.metatex.org/2010 and it allows me to  
download and install the microtype 16692 (2.5 (beta-06)) package...  
Locally I had 16687/2.4.
